You're supposed to use CURLY BRACKETS! NOT square brackets... It's the same as the ~wiki. Check http://tilde.camp/wiki for reference if you forget what kind of bracket to use. It's the same as the WikiCreole image syntax, except I don't think Openbook can do "alt text".
